Eugene C. Tidball Reminiscence 1957-1965, 2004.

This collection consists of a thirty page reminiscence written by Eugene C. Tidball titled Montana Legislative Council: The Seminal Years, 1957-1965. It contains history of the creation of the Montana Legislative Council in 1957 and Tidball's involvement with the council as executive director 1957-1965. Also included in the collection are two photocopied letters written in 2004. The first letter is from Tidball to former Montana Governor Ted Schwinden describing his decision to write his recollections of the early years of the Montana Legislative Council and asking for Schwinden's impressions regarding the reminiscence. The second letter is Schwinden's response written complimenting Tidball on the reminiscence. (SC 2470) This collection consists of a thirty page reminiscence written by Eugene C. Tidball titled Montana Legislative Council: The Seminal Years, 1957-1965. Also include is a letter to former Governor Ted Schwinden from Tidball regarding his decision to write the reminiscence as well as Governor Schwinden's response.

Eugene C. Tidball graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1948. He attended the University of Montana, Missoula receiving his B.S., B.A., and J.D. by 1955. He worked briefly for the Tirgood Oil Company of Casper, Wyoming before becoming executive director of the Montana Legislative Council in 1957, a position he held until 1965.
